Kalachakra or Wheel of Time has been initiated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama at regular periods Buddhist disciples. The Kalachakra Tantra consists of three wheels of time, the outer wheels (external environment), the inner wheel (the human body) and other wheels (Sri Kalachakra Initiations).
The practice of Kalachakra Tantra, like all Buddhist tantric systems, is based on the first receiving proper initiations. For initiations to be properly given and received, it is necessary that both the guru and disciple have certain qualifications. As a result, eleven upto initiations are given by the guru.
Following this practice his holiness the Dalia Lama will initiate the congregation with his teachings at Bodhgaya during 3rd to 13th January 2017.
