Day 01: Delhi

Arrival Delhi– meet and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi

After breakfast proceed on the sightseeing of Old Delhi visiting the Jama Masjid. At the Chandni Chowk board cycle rickshaws and see the sights & sounds of this busy street with its quaint shops & ancient gateways. Afternoon, enjoy tour of New Delhi, drive past the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Lutyen’s, including the Indian Gate & the Presidential Palace. Continue onto the beautiful Humayun’s tomb of the Mughal era & thereafter visit the towering minaret of Qutab Minar.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra

After breakfast drive to Agra. (4 to 5 Hours). Check-in at hotel. Afternoon, visit the Red Fort built by three generations of Mughal Emperors between 1565 and 1573. Evening, visit Taj Mahal a monument of love built by Moguls, an incredible 20,000 workman’s labored on it, day and night, for over 20 years.

Day 04: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri

After breakfast drive to Samode. (6 to 7 hours). Enroute Fatehpur Sikri – the extraordinary city built by Akbar the Great, deserted 14 years later, but which, during its brief span, exceeded London in both grandeur and population. After the visit continue driving to Samode Palace. Installation at Samode Palace – Nestled picturesquely amidst rugged hills, Samode Palace is one of india’s most charming hotels. It offers a quite, elegant & luxurious atmosphere. Each room is exclusive and reflects an old world charm. The interior features a magnificent hand painted Darbar Hall and the breathtaking Sheesh Mahal.

Day 05: Samode – Jaipur

After breakfast drive to Amber Fort (45 Kms / 1 ½ hrs.). Visit Amber Fort – the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire reaching the fort on elephant back. It is a deserted palace surrounded by majestic ramparts. The magnificent public and private rooms show evidence of the splendour of the rulers of 16th & 17th century Rajasthan. Afternoon, tour of Pink City – visiting the imposing City Palace now a museum, the ancient Observatory, the Palace of Winds and the picturesque bazaars of the walled city.

Day 06: Jaipur - Barli

After breakfast at leisure to visit the markets of the city. Later check out and drive to Barli (180 kms / 4 hrs.) to one of Rajasthan’s newest heritage properties, now a luxurious hotel. This is a 17th century fort restored with
care to a heritage hotel. With an elegant atmosphere it has its own distinctive character.

Day 07: Barli - Chhatrasagar

After breakfast visit the village of Barli / Bullock Cart ride in the village. Later drive to Chhatrasagar ( 3 Hrs). This is the highlight of any tour to Rajasthan. The deluxe camp is situated on the banks of a huge manmade reservoir where pelicans lazily float. The hosts never tire of looking after guests while their wives – the two princesses cook food for you.

Day 08: Chhatrasagar

After breakfast, walk down to the surrounding villages and witness village life at its natural best. Visit their nearby palace for a cup of tea or just wander around and bird watch.

Day 09: Chhatrasagar - Jaisalmer

After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer (6 ½ hrs.) – Jaisalmer, a tiny jewel in the heart of the Thar Desert, once the
capital of the Rajputs. Jaisalmer started as an important caravan center and remnants of caravan-sarais still exist. Arrive and check into hotel.

Day 10: Jaisalmer

After breakfast tour of Jaisalmer – visit this perfect Rajput walled desert city which is like a golden jewel shimmering above the hard sand. Built in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal, the Jaisalmer Fort is the second oldest fort of Rajasthan after Chittor. One fourth of the population lives inside the Fort. Visit the palaces, the Jain temples and magnificent Havelis which are quite different to the Shekhavati Havelis – they are very tall to catch the
breeze and thick – walled to keep cool, with jali screens. Instead of paintings, their exterior walls have been carved to honeycomb delicacy. Evening enjoy Camel Ride at Sam Sand Dunes for a totally different experience.

Day 11: Jaisalmer - Khimsar

After breakfast drive straight to Jodhpur ( 2 hrs ) Jodhpur stands at the edge of the Thar Desert. The tour includes Meherangarh fort the majestic fort – We then proceed to Meherangarh, the majestic fort which spreads over a 125 m high hill – one of the most impressive & formidable in the whole of fort-studded Rajasthan, after which we visit Jaswant Thada – the Royal Cenotaphs, the Umaid Gardens & Museum. Thereafter continue on drive to Dhamli – a simple Rajput Thikana, now run as an hotel. Fort Dhamli is off the beaten track and is a place where time seems to have stood still. The hosts here are a very hospitable aristocrat family. Here you Visit a traditional oil mill, and meet local weavers and potters at work. Also a chance to visit the homes of the Raikas – a local tribe.

Day 12: Khimsar - Jodhpur - Dhamli

AAfter breakfast drive straight to Jodhpur ( 2 hrs ) Jodhpur stands at the edge of the Thar Desert. Day 13: Dhamli - Ranakpur - Sardargarh

15th century Jain temples of India delicately carved out of white marble, in the deep secluded valley of the Aravalli Hills. There are 1444 pillars in the temples and none of them similarly carved. Afternoon drive to Fort Sardargarh. Sardargarh Fort – one of the magnificent battle forts of Rajasthan, and is an extravagant creation by men of a bygone era, built amidst the mountains and deep forests of Chuppun. It was built in the period between 1738 to 1743. From a distance the ramparts of this magnificent creation looks like a great ship anchored at outer sea, before getting close to the gigantic walls soaring high above the low lying village of Lawa.

Day 14: Sardargarh

After breakfast head straight to Railway station to start a 2 hour local train ride through the rugged Arravali’s, here the local villagers.

Day 15: Sardargarh - Udaipur

After breakfast drive to Udaipur (2 hrs.) Udaipur is a serene desert city, built on the banks of Lake Pichola by
Maharana Udai Singh in the 16th century. This romantic city, surrounded by high ranges of the Aravallis, over the years, has become a traditional, beautiful and handsome Rajput city of lakes and fountains. Later city tour of Udaipur – the romantic Lake City in Southern Rajasthan, The tour will cover the magnificent City Palace, the Jagdish temple, the pleasure gardens and a drive around the other nearby lakes. Evening enjoy a memorable boatride in Lake Pichola.

Day 16: Udaipur - Delhi

Breakfast at hotel. Later check out in time from hotel & transfer to airport for flight to Delhi and thereafter transfer to the International Airport for flight back home.
